SALA "CURAS"
Segunda estancia abierta al patio “Curas” Por su cercanía a la Mezquita-Catedral siempre contó entre sus clientes con muchos canónigos de la curia. Esta proximidad hizo posible la visita de prelados como el Cardenal Primado Pla y Deniel entre otros muchos ilustres. Esta sala era la preferida de los prelados ya que les daba la intimidad y recogimiento para sus comidas, que ellos deseaban.
SALA “PEPE”
Sala en homenaje a Don José Jiménez Aroca “Pepe” . Esta sala lleva el nombre de nuestro muy querido Don José Jiménez Aroca , “ Pepe el de la Judería “. Esta sala se encuentra en uno de los espacios de la primera planta de nuestro restaurante. Decorada con tonos suaves, es la elegida para almuerzos y cenas románticas. “La sala al igual que las del resto de la casa conserva su estructura original “.
LA VAQUERA DE LA FINOJOSA
Obra escultórica de la Vaquera de la Finojosa . Reposando sobre el antiguo alféizar de unas de las ventanas de la sala Jóvenes, se encuentra otra de las obras escultóricas en bronce de Aurelio Teno del S. XXI, perteneciente a la escuela de figuración histórica.

Desnudo de mujer con brazos cruzados . Escultura en bronce de Paco Luque, S.XXI. Obra singular que se identifica con solo visualizarla. Su estilo escultórico se basa en un concepto ideal de la belleza humana en el que las formas se plasman a través de un peculiar concepto de volumen y espacio.

SALA “MANOLETE”
Sala Manolete . Esta sala lleva el nombre de uno de los personajes que visitaban la casa para degustar los famosos platos y vinos de Casa Pepe. También ubicada en la primera planta, posee un pequeño balcón que ilumina la sala, se puede observar una magnifica vista del patio. Es la sala más recogida y muy demandada por nuestros clientes para pequeñas reuniones familiares y de negocios.
EAGLES
The eagles. Ascending the stairs, resting on an antique wooden chest, we find three eagles, which are 20th-century examples of the work of Aurelio Teno. Mixed materials are used: bronze/amethyst/stone and silver. Inspiration is drawn from the natural world to create sculpture-silverware, made manifest in these eagles, worked in silver with enamels and minerals. The artist hopes to express through his eagles a form “of escape, of flight, of feet detaching from the ground”. Eagles were one of Aurelio Teno’s favourite subjects, featuring in many of his works.
LA CHIQUITA PICONERA
The past and present of La Chiquita Piconera . Adorning one of the walls of the Roncalli room is a painting in oils on canvas that represents the past and present of La Chiquita Piconera, a famous figure known above all for being the muse of the Córdoba painter Julio Romero De Torres. It is a 21st-century pictorial work by Isabel Torreras.
CLOTHED WOMAN WITH CHILD
Clothed woman with child . Another 21st-century bronze sculpture by Paco Luque. Made using the lost-wax casting method, it measures 14 cm wide, 20 cm deep and 35 cm high. Once again the sculptor sets out to capture feminine beauty, this time with a child in arms. There is a perceptible radiation of calm, a sort of tranquil beauty, the sensation of a warm wave of plenitude at rest.
Mostrador de mármol de Macael
Este mostrador es blanco de Macael, de las canteras del pueblo del mismo nombre, provincia de Almería. Este tipo de mostrador era muy característico de los comercios por la claridad y el aspecto limpio que transmitía. En esta barra desde principios de siglo XX se han servido nuestros magníficos vinos de la tierra acompañados de las mejores tapas de la cocina cordobesa. BAR TOP
Macael marble bar top . The bar top is white and from Macael, from the quarries of the village of the same name in the province of Almería. This type of surface was often preferred by bars due to the image of clarity and cleanliness it conveyed. Our magnificent regional wines, accompanied by the finest tapas exemplifying Córdoba’s cuisine, have been served at this bar since the early 20th century, starting with those regulars of distant times to the present day.
DESNUDO FEMENINO
Obra de Paco Luque. En el pasillo de nuestra primera planta encontramos esta bella escultura en bronce del escultor Paco Luque del S.XXI. La técnica utilizada es bronce a la cera perdida . Sus mujeres, eterno tema, son de proporciones desmesuradas, voluminosas, gordas, exuberantes, de una desproporción muy proporcionada, pero a la vez son entrañables, tiernas y rebosantes de humanidad y belleza.
TAVERN SHELVES
Antique store furniture This piece of furniture was rescued from an old 1920s pharmacy. Modernist in the popular style, it is typical of chemist’s and groceries. Casa Pepe de la Judería has preserved it to maintain the authentic flavour of those taverns of the 1920s.
PEPE ROOM
Room paying homage to Don José Jiménez Aroca, “Pepe ” This room bears the name of our much-loved Don José Jiménez Aroca, “Pepe el de la Judería”. This room is located in one of the areas on the first floor of our restaurant. Decorated in soft tones, it is chosen for romantic lunches and dinners. “This room, just like the rest of the house, retains its original structure.”
LA CHIQUITA PICONERA
El ayer y hoy de la Chiquita Piconera . Adornando una de las paredes de la Sala Roncalli, podemos apreciar una pintura al óleo en lienzo que representa el ayer y hoy de la Chiquita Piconera, figura famosa y conocida por ser la musa de nuestro pintor Julio Romero De Torres. Es una obra pictórica del S.XXI cuya autora es Isabel Torreras.
RECUERDOS DE HERNÁN RUÍZ
Obra de Carmelo López de Arce Ballesteros. Petición especial de Casa Pepe de la Judería a Carmelo López de Arce Ballesteros para decorar el mural de madera a la entrada de la casa . Obra pictórica en oleo pintado en tabla de 116x203cm, 2 paneles en instalación, basada en la restauración de la Torre de la Mequita-Catedral de Córdoba (padre e hijos Hernán Ruiz). El análisis de las relaciones de proporcionalidad es una de sus líneas de trabajo manejando el rectángulo cordobés por este autor.

DON QUIJOTE CON LANZA
Presidiendo la entrada al patio nos encontramos con esta obra escultórica del siglo XXI, obra realizada por nuestro pintor y escultor cordobés Aurelio Teno . Fue un artista dedicado principalmente a la escultura y pintura, un apasionado por la vanguardia artística. Destacaron todas sus exposiciones por todo el mundo, incluidas París y New York. En competencia con Salvador Dalí y José de Creeft, gana el concurso para realizar la colosal escultura de Don Quijote que se levantaría ante el Kennedy Center de Washington. Uno de los temas favoritos de Aurelio Teno es Don Quijote , el cual representa en esta escultura de bronce del Siglo XXI , dentro del expresionismo escultórico .

RONCALLI ROOM
Cardinal Roncalli Room . The proximity to the Mezquita-Cathedral accounted for the visit of a cardinal, who shortly after eating at Casa Pepe de la Judería was promoted to the seat of Saint Peter, Cardinal Roncalli. This was the room that had the honour of welcoming, in the role of tourist, the man who was then the Papal Nuncio in Paris, Angelo Roncalli, elected as Pope in 1958 under the name of John XXIII.
JÓVENES ROOM
The first room that you see after the restaurant reception is the tapas room known as Jóvenes (literally “Youngsters”). The name stems from the fact that our much-admired Don José Jiménez Aroca, affectionately referred to as “ Pepe el de la Judería”, wanted to create differentiated atmospheres within his house and assigned this room to the young people who came.
ESTANTERÍA TABERNA
Mueble de comercio antiguo. Este mueble fue rescatado de una antigua botica de los años 20 del siglo pasado. Estilo modernista y popular muy propio de farmacias y ultramarinos. Casa Pepe de la Judería lo ha conservado para mantener el sabor autentico de aquellas tabernas de los años 20.

MUJER CON NIÑO VESTIDA
Mujer con niño vestida. Obra escultórica de bronce de Paco Luque del S.XXI. Utiliza la técnica de bronce a la cera perdida, mide 14 ancho x 20 de fondo, 35 cm alto. El autor, una vez más ha querido reflejar la belleza femenina con su hijo en brazos. Percibimos una íntima irradiación de sosiego, una especie de belleza tranquila, la impresión de una cálida onda de plenitud en reposo.
DON QUIXOTE WITH LANCE
Don Quixote with lance . Presiding over the entrance to the patio is this 21st-century sculpture, an example of the work of the Córdoba painter and sculptor Aurelio Teno. He was an artist devoted mainly to sculpture and painting, a great enthusiast for the artistic avant-garde. He exhibited all over the world, notably in Paris and New York. Competing against Salvador Dalí and José de Creeft, he won the competition to create the colossal sculpture of Don Quixote that was unveiled at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Don Quixote, the figure shown in this bronze 21st-century sculpture, in an example of sculptural expressionism, was one of Aurelio Teno’s favourite subjects .
PIQUERA, 1920
When you enter Casa Pepe de la Judería, the first thing you see on your left is the piquera, a small window through which at the beginning of the 20th century wine was sold to the women who entered premises such as these, CASA PEPE DE LA JUDERÍA being one of the very few that retains it intact. Córdoba is fortunate in the fact that Casa Pepe de la Judería, under the stewardship of Miguel Cabezas and Lola Carmona, has managed to preserve a degree of architectural purity and authenticity that is increasingly hard to find. The true history of Córdoba lives and breathes in its walls, in its piquera, in its tavern, in its patio, deposited there on a daily basis by the residents of the city and its regulars over the course of almost 100 years.
MEMORIES OF HERNÁN RUÍZ
Artwork by Carmelo López de Arce Ballesteros Carmelo López de Arce Ballesteros was specially commissioned by Casa Pepe de la Judería to provide the wooden mural at the entrance to the premises. The result is a pictorial work in oils painted on 116 x 203 cm boards, with two panels in the installation, inspired by the restoration of the tower of Córdoba’s Mezquita-Cathedral (Hernán Ruiz, father and sons). Analysis of the relationships of proportionality, including the “Córdoba rectangle”, is one of the themes explored by the artist.
CURAS ROOM
Second room opening onto the patio: Curas Due to its proximity to the Mezquita-Cathedral, the restaurant has always counted many members of the clergy among its customers. It was this proximity that lay behind the visit of such prelates as Cardinal Pla y Deniel, among many other illustrious names. This was the preferred dining room of the prelates because it provided them with the intimacy and seclusion for their meals that they sought.

SALA "ANTÍGUOS"
Primera estancia abierta al patio “Antiguos” Recibe este nombre en honor a los parroquianos de más edad que solían ocupar esta sala. Lugar de tertulia acompañado de un buen vino de la tierra y unas magnificas tapas.
SALA “ RONCALLI”
Sala del Cardenal Roncalli. La proximidad de la Mezquita Catedral hizo posible la visita de un cardenal que al poco de comer en Casa Pepe de la Judería se vio elevado a la silla de San Pedro, el Cardenal Roncalli . Esta es la sala que tuvo el honor de acoger como turista al que fuera entonces Nuncio de S.S. en París, Angelo Rocalli, coronado en el año 1958 Papa, con el nombre de Juan XXIII.

SALA "JÓVENES"
El primer recinto que vemos después de la recepción de la casa es la sala de tapas llamada Jóvenes. El nombre viene dado porque se dice que nuestro queridísimo Don José Jiménez Aroca, cariñosamente llamado “ Pepe el de la Judería”, quiso crear distintos ambientes dentro de su casa y adjudicó esta sala para los jóvenes que pasaban por allí.
ARTISTIC AND LITERARY PATIO
Cultural-historical patio. This patio has played host to many famous people since it opened. Notable among them, Rafael Valverde says that his grandfather was a habitual customer: “Pepe always used to speak about the visits to his establishment of José Tomás, accompanying José María Pemán, who was a great friend of his. ” These days it is the venue that our customers most frequently request. Located in the patio is a ceramic relief entitled Pueblo Andaluz, an abstract 20th-century work by the artist Hisae Yanase. Glazed ceramic, fired clay.
MANOLETE ROOM
Manolete Room . This room bears the name of one of the celebrities who visited the restaurant to enjoy the famous dishes and wines of Casa Pepe. Also located on the first floor, it possesses a small balcony that lights up the room and affords a magnificent view of the patio. It is the cosiest room and much requested by our customers for family reunions and business meetings.

Iberian goat. Another 21st-century sculpture by Aurelio Teno, cast in bronze with a metallic ladder, measuring 20 x 79 cm. School of sculptural expressionism.
ÁGUILAS
Las águilas. A la subida de la escalera reposando sobre un antiguo arcón, nos encontramos con 3 águilas que son obra de Aurelio Teno, S. XX. Se utiliza una técnica mixta, bronce/amatista/piedra y plata. Se inspira en el entorno de la naturaleza para crear, escultura –orfebrería, materializada en estas águilas, labradas en plata con esmaltes y minerales. El autor en sus águilas quiere expresar una forma “ de evasión , de huida, de despegar los pies del suelo “. Las águilas fueron unos de los temas favoritos de Aurelio Teno y así lo expresa en muchas de sus obras.
FEMALE NUDE
Sculpture by Paco Luque. In the corridor on the first floor we find this beautiful 21st-century sculpture in bronze by the sculptor Paco Luque. The bronze was cast using the lost-wax casting technique. His women, a recurring theme, exhibit exaggerated proportions, voluminous, fat, exuberant, their disproportionate nature well proportioned, but at the same time they are endearing, tender and brimming with humanity and beauty.

First room opening onto the patio: Antiguos It acquired this name in honour of the regulars of more advanced years, who tended to occupy this room. It is a place for social gatherings accompanied by a fine regional wine and magnificent tapas
PATIO ARTISTICO Y LITERARIO
Patio histórico cultural. Este espacio ha conocido a muchos ilustres desde el comienzo de su apertura. Por destacar alguno de ellos, Rafael Valverde apunta que su abuelo era cliente habitual “Pepe siempre hablaba de las visitas a su establecimiento de mi abuelo José Tomás, acompañando a José María Pemán que era gran amigo suyo”. Hoy en día es el espacio más solicitado por nuestros clientes. En el patio podemos observar un relieve cerámico titulado “ Pueblo Andaluz “ del autor Hisae Yanase del S.XX , arte Abstracto. Técnica de cerámica vidriada, barro cocido.
LA PIQUERA, 1920
Cuando entramos en Casa Pepe de la Judería, lo primero que observamos a la izquierda es la piquera, pequeña ventana a través de la cual se permitía vender vino a las mujeres que entraban en estos locales a primeros del siglo XX, siendo CASA PEPE DE LA JUDERÍA una de las pocas que aún la conservan. Córdoba ha tenido la fortuna de que Casa Pepe de la Judería, de la mano de Miguel Cabezas y Lola Carmona , haya conseguido llegar hasta nosotros conservando una pureza arquitectónica y una autenticidad difíciles de encontrar el día de hoy. En sus muros, en su piquera ,en su taberna, en su patio, se conserva, se respira la verdadera historia de Córdoba, dejada allí a diario por los cordobeses, sus parroquianos a lo largo de casi cien años .
